Going back to school

So I decided that I wanted to return to school and pursue a second degree. So I started taking prerequistes for NURSING school. Yes I said it Nursing school. I’ve heard it all from how are you going to manage being a mother, wife, working full time and going to school in such a demanding field. I will tell you how. SUPPORT!! Thats the key word people without support from my husband who constantly pushes me to be great I woukdbt have even applied to nursing school. Without the helo of family members pitching in to help watch the kiddos when I was taking saturday classes and hubby was at work. Or my mom taking my daughter to dance class. Support of loved ones is what will help me reach my goal of becoming an RN in 2020!! laboure.edu

Becoming a Mom

Mom of TWO

Waking up to the two greatest children is the best thing I could have ever asked for. So let me introduce my two pride and joys Cassyanna (4) and Bryce (2). I can still remember the day that I found out that I was pregnant with my daughter. I remember so well because I had to take off a few weeks from work because I had just gotten into a car accident two weeks prior (which the other driver was at fault for but that’s another story). Anyways I remember waking up one day and just didn’t feel right. I said to my husband (who was my bf at the time) something isn’t right I don’t feel good. He immediately joked and said you’re probably pregnant. I was in denial because never did pregnancy ever cross my mind. I immediately phone my health center to find out for sure. While in the doctor’s office she asked me how would you feel if you found out that you were in fact expecting.I said well I don’t know scared, excited. Then the phone rang. I hear my doctor on the phone with the nurse asking if she was on speaker. My doctor answered no and hung up the phone. She turned to me and said we’ll guess what you’re going to be a mommy!!! OMGosh!! so many emotions were running through my mind. What do I do from here? I’m going to bring someone into this world and be responsible for them. On my drive home I start thinking of ways to let my boyfriend know that he was right and that he was going to be a dad. When I got home we got in the car to go to physical therapy and as were driving I just recalled looking over to my boyfriend and saying guess what your going to be someone’s dads. He looked over at me with amazement. he was so excited, scared and nervous all at the same time. This was the beginning of our forever story. Continue reading “Becoming a Mom”
